1. The Loudspeaker : The guy that has the urge to spit out everything he thinks on a public forum. It is usually in bursts of moods, every few hours.
eg: ' I am sad' ' I am so pisseddd.' ' I am sooooooo happy, life is awesome' - all these on the same day.
2. The Music Player: Does not put up status messages as such, just links. I do this a lot. And invariably all of them are 'most awesome/amazing/cool video he/she has ever seen'. Least annoying type.
3. The safe commenter: These people never put up status messages/links/articles. They only "like" or comment on other people's links. When the comments are interesting, they are likeable, but sadly more often than not the comments are either silly, or mokkai or even worse " awww.. so cute"
4. The wannabe mysterious: These are people that put up status messages no one understands, or it is an inside joke, or things like " :(" and a hundred comments follow asking "why"
5. The attention monger : I know what you guys are thinking. Yeah I seek attention.. but at least I care enough to make my links or statuses interesting or funny! These people are the ones that put up statuses that say " I m sick :(" or " Arghhh this cold/cough/bloody diarrhoea". Some go like this -" I got my H1!" or " I got a job!" or something along the lines of 'I just want to vayitherichal kalapify and rub it in your face, so I'm not even going to attempt being humourous or interesting, let alone being humble'.
6. The Photomonger: Every week there is an album that goes up on facebook. And believe me, these are unfiltered (shaky pictures, out of focus pictures, random pictures, bad pictures, pictures with the unintentional cleavage show or jatti show - everything goes online) Do these people really want everyone to see every photo they take in their life?
7. The Gamer: All I 'm saying is - Keep playing, people. Keep the gaming companies alive. They are very important to our economy ;) Just don't notify me of every damn fish or fruit or crop you buy.
8. The Family : Well unfortunately my entire family is on facebook, and I sometimes yearn for those days when family and internet were as unrelated as TR and Tetrachloroethane. ( T - T kaaga . :) )I love my family, don't mistake me. But I don't want ambujam mami to know that I am LOLing at a Russel Peters' very adult rated piece on how blessed men from different races are. (Real Funny one. Apprama kaamikren :) ) Every random family member I only met in weddings and never met until the next wedding a decade later, is on my friend list now, and the result is on a picture of me wearing a skimpy tank top ( hypothetical. bayapadadheenga :) "and my friends hanging out in a hypothetical bar :), a random mami goes " hi divya. i am ur amma's athai's orpadi's daughter's cousin. nice to meet you . You look just like your paati" Yarrite! unless my paati was also wearing tank top sipping ( a hypothetical ;) ) cosmo at a bar! But I have to admit, it is cute when my amma goes on facebook, into my wall and types without punctuations, spaces, in an unrelated thread between me and my friends just to type a "hidivuhappynewyear". ;) Psst: anyone tells her, I kill you. But if you do tell her, remind her to punctuate the next time she types.
9. The ' louu panraangalaama' idiots : These are my personal enemies. If you know me, you know how much I hate this kind. In fact, I want to dedicate my entire post to venting my frustration about this one type and frankly the other types don't bother me as much. I literally want to throw up when I see these people. Especially, December is that time of the year.. these couples get very hormonal during the wedding season, like mushrooms sprouting all over the place during rainy season. Seriously, is it just me or are there really that many people getting married these days? Newly married, yet to be married, the newly dating, the dating for a long time - but families came to know recently- so I am orey the open on FB now -cases , they come in all shapes and sizes. Changing your relationship status on facebook is almost a milestone in relationships these days. It falls right between going out for a year roughly and getting engaged. Usually around the same magnitude as telling the families. These couples are somehow urged to declare their louu for each other on a public forum on a daily basis. Get a phone please! even better- get a room!
Anyyyyway, thanks to privacy settings, I do get rid of most of these problems. But many people ask me why I am even on facebook if I hate almost every activity on facebook. Same reason as everyone - Indha mokkai comments, sick couply couples oda comedy, kalyana photos, TR video idhellam semma time pass!
